Through the Colby-Sawyer partnership with Upper Valley Educators Institute, I've been able to have a pre-internship within the Kearsarge School District, where I was able to have a hands-on experience and firsthand to understand every aspect of being a teacher. On campus, I've also been able to work in the Windy Hill Lab School, which has given me numerous amounts of experience with dealing with anything from cognitive development to emotional and social aspects of a child's development.

For the trip to Wall Street, I had a lot of friends last year that went, and they said it was one of the best experiences they could have ever, ever had as a business major. They got to see the National Reserve, which was something I never thought you get to see, regardless of where you are in life, as a business professional, as a student. And having that opportunity here is really a great thing that I think is not something you're going to find everywhere.

In my internships, I have applied Colby-Sawyer's learning outcomes ethically and professionally, being able to look at things from multiple perspectives. I think taking initiative helps you find certain opportunities and I think our faculty and staff at Colby-Sawyer really encourage students to do that. The Harrington Center will say, you have to find your own internship, but we'll help you get there. But we want you to go out and take the initiative to find it, but we'll be there to help you with resumes, cover letters, interviews, and all that stuff.
